Crucifixion - Jesus Last Words

The Last Seven Things Spoken by Jesus from the Cross

(1.) And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. And parting His clothing, they cast lots. (Luke 23:34)

(2.) And Jesus said to him [the thief hanging next to him], Truly I say to you, Today you shall be with Me in Paradise.
(Luke 23:43)

(3.) Then when Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, Woman, behold your son!

Then He said to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her into his own home.
(John 19:26-7)

(4.) And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is, My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?
(Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34)

(5.) After this, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, I thirst. (John 19:28)

(6.) Then when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, It is finished! And He bowed His head and gave up the spirit.
(John 19:30)

(7.) And crying with a loud voice, Jesus said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. And when He had said this, He breathed out the spirit.
(Luke 23:46)
