Hundreds of different cultures around the world have stories of a world wide flood that covered the earth leaving only one family as the survivors who were kept safe in some kind of boat.
95% of these stories or traditions describe a world wide deluge that covered the whole earth.
88% speak of a surviving family who started the world population all over again.
66% tell us that the family knew before the flood, that there was going to be a flood.
66% give the reason for the flood as being the wicked and sinful nature of mankind.
70% say that the surviving family and the animals they took with them, were kept alive on some kind of boat. The Bible calls this boat an Ark.
Over 33% or more of these stories describe how birds were sent out from the boat as a way of testing to see if there was dry land.
Since every culture therefore would have descended directly from the flood’s survivors, it is not surprising that there are so many stories saying the same thing. The reason is that every culture which is here today, will have originally come from this one family. And this one family would have passed down the story of this cataclysmic event from one generation to the next.
The fact that there are so many similarities in these stories is amazing since these stories come from many cultures who lived in isolation to each other. In other words, they didn't know each other! The world was not that connected then. You couldn't text someone on the other side of the world and get an instant reply. People didn't have Internet, motorways, planes etc. So the fact that people scattered all over the world who didn't know each other were telling the same story makes the story that much more believable.
Another reason why these stories must be believed to be true is that these stories have survived over thousands of years. Over long periods of time, it is normal for people to exaggerate and make things up to make a story sound better, or to add in information by guesswork because there were gaps in the story that they didn't understand. Not so with the flood stories which all sound like they are describing the SAME EVENT!!!
All these floodstories coming out of different cultures are telling the same story of a world wide flood. That's because a world wide flood really did happen.
The fact that a world wide flood happened can also been seen through eviidence scattered all over the earth which archaelogists have dug up. Archaeologists have found massive graveyards of animal life that can be seen to have been burried in a flood. The fossil remains show that the destruction of thses creatures happened suddenly as in the case of being burried quickly in a flood. And the minerals which have helped to preserve them, are commonly found in mud and sand. Floods dump a lot of mud and sand! There are also many fossil remains of sea creatures have been found on the tops of mountains all over the world! Hmmm, wonder how they got there!!!
The Christian writings found in the Bible record a detailed account of this world wide flood and name the Father of the surviving family as Noah. Thus we have, 'Noah's Flood.'
So as a world wide flood most certainly happened (and we've only looked at a small amount of evidence), should we be concerned then that it may happen again? CLICK HERE to find out.

When the Rapture happens, Satan will try to convince those left behind that it was NOT the fulfilment of an end of the world Bible prophecy. Satan may deceive people about the Rapture by convincing them that this mysterious exodus was the result of either a mass alien abduction or from some advanced human technology.
But there is a third possibility.
Satan may also try to convince people that the rapture was the fulfilment of New Age prophecies about an evolutionary change in world consciousness and the removal from earth (by the earth) of those not ready for this.
New Age teaching states that there will come a time in the future where those who are not in sync or in harmony with the earth, those who are not willing and ready to enter into a worldwide change of consciousness, will be removed – from the earth. This teaching fits in very well with what some are saying about the Mayan 2012 calendar: that it predicts a worldwide change of consciousness and a new evolutionary cycle or beginning for the earth.
But while New Agers are predicting an event similar to the biblical Rapture, it is from an entirely different perspective to what the Bible states. The New Age perspective is one that could be used to offer a negative explanation as to why Christians were ‘raptured’ from the earth – and no one else!
From a New Age perspective, Christians would not be raptured because they were true believers and followers of Jesus Christ, people who sought to love God, love their fellow man/woman, and be good stewards of the earth’s resources. To New Agers, this rapture of people from the earth will not be because God has saved his people from certain final judgements on the earth. No, New Agers believe that certain people will be raptured from the earth because they are not tolerant of others and because they hold on to the past; the old world. These will be removed to cleanse the earth from their bad
Because Christians believe that Jesus is THE way, THE truth and THEY life and that no one comes to God the Father except through faith in Christ, this, even now, is seen as intolerant. And because Christians seek to hold fast to the Bible teaching about love for God and fellow man, this will be seen, as it is now, as holding on to the past.
So you can see that Christians are good candidates for this false explanation of the Rapture. It will be a way to explain why Christians disappeared and not others.
WARNING – The Bible tells us that the devil masquerades as an angel of light and so do his messengers (2 Corinthians 11:14). As the father of lies, Satan is seeking to offer a counterfeit answer to prophetic events predicted in the Bible. Consider the following New Age deceptions from some of those who have been misled by the devils lies and have become his messengers.
David Spangler, a New Age writer, says "those attuned to the old world" are going to be "transported through the [cosmic] law of attraction" and taken to "another planet, plane of existence or level of earth's consciousness where they can be contained... the main point is that they will lose, for the time being, their access to the etheric planes of power and the ability to control or influence the developments upon earth." (Revelation, Birth of a New Age, pp.163-4)
Barbara Marciniak says, "If human beings do not change -- if they do not make the shift in values and realize that without Earth they could not be here -- then Earth, in its love for its own initiation, in reaching for a higher frequency, will bring about a cleansing that will balance it once again. There is the potential for many people to leave the planet in an afternoon." [Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians, Bear and Co., 1992, p.162]
Marciniak also says, "The people who leave the planet during the time of Earth changes do not fit in here any longer, and they are stopping the harmony of Earth. When the time comes that perhaps 20 million people leave the planet at one time there will be a tremendous shift in consciousness for those who are remaining." [Bringers of the Dawn:… p. 167]
WARNING – Where do these New Age gurus and authors get their information from? Many say they say they get their information from channelling spirits, angels or even alien beings. The Bible calls these spirit beings demons; and they have been channelling their lies for thousands of years.
The Bible says, “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them…” (Leviticus 19:31).
“I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people.” (Leviticus 20:6).
It is a detestable thing to consult mediums or channelling spirits (Deuteronomy 18:12).
Here is another example of a ‘channelled’ message. Soleira and Santari Green offer the following message from a being who they say goes by the name of Metatron. It’s an apparent warning about those who resist unity (NB: there can be no unity between light and dark, between good and evil, between God and Satan!).
"It is the time of the joining. It is the time of the choosing. And those who wish not to walk upon this path will be transitioned, transferred to a different reality. The time is upon us. The enemy is at hand and is about to become one with us and will be the enemy no longer. No longer will be there dark or light, good or bad. Only will there be unity and those who wish not to operate in unity, will operate elsewhere in another universe."
It is not surprising that in the last times, towards the time of the end of the world, that demonic messages from evil spirits (who know the Bible and want to confuse people about the Rapture) are going to come together as part of a great end of the world Satanic deception: the creation of a counterfeit explanation for the Rapture so that when the Rapture comes, people will NOT believe the Bible, repent and put their trust in Christ for salvation.
Many people reading this, if you made it this far, will have already come to the conclusion that Satan could easily use (and has been behind) New Age and alien beliefs as well as conspiracy theories about advanced human technology to create a non-biblical answer to the Rapture.
For those who have not, and who would like to know more about the alien phenomena, I ask you to please look at our aliens and 2012 page and the links you find on it about ancient aliens called the Annunaki (who are supposed to have ‘seeded’ the earth) and also the Nephilim (most probably hybrid creatures that came from demonic and human union – originally in the days before Noah’s flood – though it was not actually his flood but God’s).
The point is that until recent times, there has only been one explanation available for a time in world history when millions of people will suddenly disappear, and this is in the Bible. Now, there are at least 3 additional explanations that are being offered for a future rapture. Why have we not heard of these before? Is it because we are more enlightened now? Or is it because we are closer to the time of the BIBLICAL Rapture and Satan is working harder to deceive the masses?
It has been hinted at before but I’ll say it again, these lies will also suite those wanting to set up a new world order and a one world government – if it hasn’t already happened by the time of the Rapture. The Bible says this will happen when we get to the end of the world.
When people believe in Satan’s rapture (Satan’s version of the Rapture), there will be increased urgency, to unite the earth as one so that it might defend itself against future “attacks” from aliens, misuse of advanced human technology or some New Age mystical earth rapture.
With these lies in place, it gives people an alternative to believing the Bible’s answer to the sudden disappearance of millions of people from all over the earth. And that is Satan’s chief aim; the aim of the father of lies.
The moral of this blog series on Satan’s Rapture is: DO NOT BE DECEIVED. Find out the truth because only the truth will set you free. While my first pick (of how Satan may explain away the Rapture) is based on a satanic deception about an alien presence in this universe, the second is pick is based on a conspiracy theory of how human technology may be able to bring about a Rapture (removal of millions of people from earth) and the promised return of a messiah.
In particular, this theory focuses on the belief that NASA is going to try to use modern technological advancedments to create a new world religion with the anti-christ at it's head.
Because of the existence of this conspiracy theory, I believe there is the possibility that Satan could try to influence people into believing that the sudden disappearance of millions of living souls from all over the planet has something to do with human technology… Some of you may be thinking that this is much less believable than a mass alien abduction. It is easier to believe that if they existed, aliens may have this kind of technology.... but humans.... it will never happen!
Well, if you’re a conspiracy theorist anything can happen... no matter how bizarre, and we have got some bizarre coming up in this post so you’ve been warned. Some conspiracy theorists believe that a Rapture (sudden removal of millions from the planet) could take place by combining two areas of technology that are currently being explored (1) 3D holographic imagery and (2) teleportation.
First, let’s consider look at how 3D holographic imagery may be used to simulate the return and appearance of Jesus Christ... an event often associated with the Rapture.
Have you ever watched a Batman movie (not recommended) and seen how the Batman image was projected into the sky by a simple flood light with a bat shape covering part of the light beam? Well, technology has moved on from then and according to some, methods are now being developed whereby the sky might be used as a giant holographic projection screen for space-based laser-generating satellites. Images would be projected onto the sodium layer 60miles above our earth.
Some have suggested in this strange conspiracy theory that chemicals would be dropped into the sky by planes to enhance this sodium layer. You may have heard or read of claims that the testing for this is going on now and evidence of can be seen in what are being referred to as “CHEMtrails” (chem. for chemical) that are seen in the sky. NASA and the scientific community deny this (conspiracy theorists love these kinds of denials) saying that these trails are CONtrails (con. from condensation which is triggered by the exhaust particles in an aircrafts exhaust).
As we dig deeper into this end of the world conspiracy theory, we discover a speculation that sophisticated laser technology will be used to generate giant 3D holographic images of the world’s religious gods into the sky. Each image would represent the dominant religion over the area where it is seen. These images would combine into one to reveal a new world messiah; thus paving the way for a new world religion and a corresponding new world order. This visual imagery would also be combined with the use of electronic low frequency waves beamed right into people’s brains to give the impression of telepathic communication received straight from their god.
You’re right, it’s pretty crazy stuff! But don’t forget, it IS a conspiracy theory, one that the devil may well use to explain away the real Rapture or removal of Christian believers when it happens.
But we’re not finished yet.
Second, while your brain is still spinning, let’s now consider the idea: that technology may one day be invented that could make people disappear or be teleported from one place to another. This would support the conspiracy belief that the removal of millions of people from all over the world will be brought about by human technology. For this conspiracy to at least be a little bit plausible it would help if there some actual developments in this area of scientific exploration. So hang on to your seats as we launch into this...
If you’re into science fiction movies you will have seen movies of people disappearing into parallel universes through the use of HUMAN technology. And going back as far as the original Star Trek, we see transporter beams taking people from one place to another, sometimes against their will! So the idea of people disappearing through the use of human technology has been here for a while.
Yeah, but that’s science fiction right! It will never happen! Maybe, but it hasn’t stopped people trying… and with some success. For example, scientists have recently come up with a material that can make people invisible, by using a material that bends light. They have also done what everyone thought impossible and teleported something from one location to another. Using Quantum theory, scientists have been able to teleport quantum information in the form of light (a photon) from one location to the other. They are confident this is just the beginning.
If you like the bizarre and things stranger than fiction, consider the following story...
There is a much debated event that supposedly took place as far back as the 1940’s where scientists, using what Einstein called the unified field theory, made a US Navy ship disappear! The ship is said, by some, to have been teleported to another location and back again; and that people saw it in both locations. Upon its return, strange things were purported to have happened to the limited crew members who were on board: for example, crewmen reappearing after the event being partly embedded into the ship’s structure such as the deck or bulkhead. Later on, as the story goes, a strange bar brawl that broke out on shore. It involved crew members of the ship that ‘disappeared’. Witnesses were reported to have seen the crew (while fighting) disappear and then reappear before finally disappearing never to return.
In light of this story and experiments with teleportation, some believe that the alien abduction stories that we hear about, as well as being caused by demonic activity (you will need to read the second post on a Satanic Rapture for more on this), may also be the result of human technology. They believe that what we are seeing with these ‘abductions’ is simply testing of advanced human form of technology; a device capable of removing someone from one location and taking them to another.
Now whether or not you believe that human technology already has or one day will do the things mentioned above, is totally irrelevant! The reason is that at this time in history the devil doesn’t need this explanation of a human caused Rapture to be based on fact or believed... he just needs it to exist. Then, when millions of people vanish from the earth, Satan has a non-biblical explanation ready and waiting to sell to the masses, to all the unbelieving people on the planet who will accept any reason other than one that comes from the Bible.
One thing you can count on is that when the Rapture takes place, there will be a worldwide satanic deception about this event. There is one more possible way that Satan may try to deceive those left behind. To find out what this is, tune in next week for part 4 of the Satanic Rapture.
|
As I’ve researched, thought and prayed over this topic, I’ve come to the conclusion, for now, that there are actually three possible lies that could be used by Satan to deceive people about the Rapture. One has a 2012 end of the world theme; the others do not though they do have an end of the world theme. We’re going to look at three phenomena that may be used by Satan to present his own version of the Rapture, thus turning people from the truth that is found in God’s Word, the Bible. To save making the blog too long, I’m spreading these over three weeks.
Here’s my first pick.
When the day, hour and moment of the Rapture arrives, I believe there is more than a strong possibility that Satan will convince many that those who were ‘raptured’ were not taken to heaven because they were followers of Jesus Christ taken (as the Bible prophecies)but because they were abducted by aliens! This, I believe, may well be Satan’s Rapture… or Satan’s version of the Rapture.
Does all this sound just a bit crazy? Let me convince you how believable this lie will be….. and how the devil has been preparing people’s minds for accepting this lie.
First of all, I want you to know that this will not be the first satanic version of a biblical rapture.
When Jesus was raised from the dead and later ascended into heaven, the devil inspired some of the religious leaders of the day to say that Jesus’ disciples had stolen the body to make it look like he had risen. But as crazy as that sounds, many people believed it. Here’s why the disciples didn’t steal the body of Jesus – apart from the fact that it wasn’t there.
Immediately after Jesus crucifixion and death, the disciples went into hiding. At that time, the disciples did not even expect, never mind understand, the resurrection. They also did not believe the first accounts of Jesus being raised from the dead! So why would they come out from hiding from the authorities (in fear of being crucified themselves) and risk being killed by a Roman guard (placed in front of the tomb and under threat of death if they failed to protect it) and try to steal Jesus body to make up a story they did not believe or understand!!!
It IS possible to see through the devils lies but many will still be deceived. Keep that in mind as you read on to see how the devil has been preparing people for this great deception, his own version of what happened with the Rapture takes place.
Since around 1880 reports of UFO’s began surfacing with a dramatic increase in the 1940-50s. And since 1957 there have been stories of alien abductions. In addition to this there have been more recent phenomena of strange orbs and lights in the sky.
These stories have been fuelled by movies about aliens, alien abductions, alien invasions and alien end of the world scenarios. Although scientists are yet to find a planet with the right conditions to sustain life and we are yet to have a live TV interview with a real living alien from another planet, this does not stop people wondering if they are still “out there”. Conspiracy theories about government cover-ups, especially with regard to the 1947 Roswell incident where the government were accused of hiding evidence about an alien crash landing, also add fuel to the fire.
And if that’s not enough, we have the writings of people like Zecharia Sitchin. Sitchin claims that his translation of certain ancient Sumerian cuneiform texts speak of a race of ancient aliens called the Annunaki whom he believed came from a 12th planet in our solar system. These aliens, he contends, seeded the earth by mixing their DNA with primeval life forms and may one day return to check up on us.
These conspiracy theories will not go away and Satan knows this. When the Rapture occurs, it will not be difficult for him to convince a larger proportion of the world’s population that it was a massive alien abduction.
Of course, this would not be a deception if aliens actually existed and also if they had the technology to remove millions of people from all over the earth at the same time - in the twinkling of an eye, in a moment (literally, ‘an atom’, the smallest measure of time). If that were the case, then an alien abduction would be a legitimate explanation.
Here’s why I don’t believe it can be a legitimate explanation.
While I believe that aliens exist (check out our Aliens and 2012 page for more on this) I do not believe they are extra-terrestrial creatures from another planet. Rather, they are spiritual beings from another dimension! In other words, they are demons! Fallen angels like the devil, Satan.
[As an aside, I am puzzled as to why people find it so easy to believe in all kinds of paranormal phenomena including ghosts and spirits, yet they are reluctant to believe the Bible’s account of demons! It reminds me something Napoleon Bonaparte is once reported to have said, “Men will believe anything as long as it is not written in the Bible.” Hmmm, do you think Satan knows this! ]
So, can spiritual beings from another dimension (angels and demons), a spiritual dimension, manifest themselves physically so that humans can see them and interact with them? Yes! Absolutely.
The Bible speaks of a number of occasions where angels who were sent as messengers from God, spoke to both men and women. The birth of Jesus was prophetically announced by an angel to both of his parents at different times. These angels were said at times to shine like lightening and their clothes to be a bright as snow and strong enough to move a 1-2 ton stone (Matthew 28:2-3).
The Bible also has many examples of demons who, while not making themselves physically manifest, have manifest themselves through their possession of a human being; through that person’s voice or actions. Demon possessed people showed great strength and in one example, one demon possessed man overpowered 7 others (Acts 19:16)
It’s also worth noting that the Bible tells us the devil masquerades as an angel of light and that the name, Lucifer (another name for Satan - Isaiah 14:12 and Luke 10:18) means light bearer. I personally do not think it difficult that Satan could be behind events attributed to aliens such as strange light shows in the sky, thought it could equally be a result of secret human technology (more on that in the next blog post).
In addition to this, the Bible speaks in Genesis 6:1-4 of a time when some of the sons of God (fallen angels, demons) came to earth and had sexual relations with women, the result being a race of giant Nephilim. The Bible also tells us in Jude 6 that, “And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.” [Genesis is the first book in the Bible and Jude is one of the last – ‘Bible’ means, “library”. The Bible is a library of 66 books]
Aliens do exist. But they are NOT extra-terrestrials from another planet. Rather, they are fallen angels, demons from another dimension. In the past, these aliens/demons have made themselves manifest to people. There is nothing to say that they cannot or will not do this again. So called abductions are either the result of demonic activity or drugs! UFO’s are the result of natural but as yet unexplained phenomena, demonic or human activity. They are not spaceships from another planet. And they will not come one day to abduct millions of people from all over the world.
I believe the devil has been planning to sell this lie about an alien rapture for some time and has been especially cunning in shaping people’s minds to accept it. He has not only done this through demonic manifestations in the form of UFOs (these can be any shape) and demonic encounters in the form of abductions (though some of this could be explained by natural phenomena or the use of drugs). He has also influenced the world’s media to help prepare the way for accepting an alien rapture by an increasing number of movies about aliens, an alien invasion and alien abductions and by the writings of people like Zecharia Sitchin.
Satan knows his time is nearly up and will try delaying tactics to keep people from turning to the Bible for the truth. One day however, his time will run out and he himself will be raptured to his ultimate doom. He will be caught up and cast into the eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:10). Do not be deceived and join him there (Revelation 20:11-15).
In the next post I’ll share the second of three possibilities for a satanic explanation for the Rapture.
|
The devil (Satan) is a fallen angel who is condemned to hell and on borrowed time. He is described in the Bible as a liar and the father of lies. When the devil lies, he is speaking his native language (John 8:44).
One of the greatest (biggest) lies the devil is ever going to have to spin is to explain away the Rapture. The Rapture is a time in the future when all God’s people will instantly and simultaneously, disappear from the earth (I’ll explain more about the Rapture in a moment). This Satanic deception will seek to turn people away from the Bible’s explanation of this event, and therefore, turn people away from God. This lie may well be the thing that sets the scene for a New World Order and a One World Government. More on that later.
First, let me give you a quick overview of what the Rapture is then I’ll share with you what I believe the devil may use to explain this away when it happens.
Let me state at the beginning that I do not believe the Rapture will happen on December 21, 2012 but I do believe that the idea behind one of the “end of the world 2012” doomsday predictions in particular, will contribute to making this lie “successful” to some. But what is the Rapture?
The word “rapture” is commonly used to describe a time which the Bible speaks of when true followers of Jesus Christ will be ‘snatched away’ from the earth to their new home in heaven… leaving others behind to face unprecedented terrors on earth as God pours out his final end time judgments on mankind.
It is important to understand that the word “rapture” is not a biblical word but comes from the Latin translation (rapere) of the Greek word ‘harpazo’. Harpazo is a biblical word. It means to be “caught up” or “taken away”. Harpazo is the word used in the following Bible passage...
"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage each other with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
In a similar way, 2 Thessalonians 2:1 speaks of being “gathered unto him”.
Christians are to encourage each other that Christ will return for them. The Bible tells us that when Jesus returns from heaven, believers will be caught up (raptured) to be with him. Those who have already died will rise first, followed by those who are still alive at the time. From here, Christ will take them with him to the place he has been preparing for them (John 14:1-3).
Jesus made it very clear that while some would be taken, others would be left behind (Matthew 24:40-41). Those left behind would face a time of great tribulation, the likes of which has never been experienced before.
Earlier on in Matthew chapter 24, Jesus spoke of how sudden destruction would come in the same way it did in the days of Noah, when the world was destroyed by a flood that covered the whole earth. How did that happen? It happened like this... it was only when the door of the ark was shut and God’s people were safely inside, that God’s judgement was poured out on the earth. In the end times, the last days, the end of the world, Jesus himself will come and ‘rapture’ his people first, then he will let loose his final judgements on the earth.
What will this rapture be like? This snatching away of his people will happen very quickly and suddenly as in the twinkling of an eye.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52…
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Do you know how fast a twinkling will be?
A blink of the eye lasts somewhere between 300 and 400 milliseconds. You think that’s fast? Well, a twinkling of the eye (when a reflected particle of light is seen in the eye) is an event that happens at the speed of light - 983,571,056 feet per second! That’s about a billionth of a second!! However, as fast as the speed of light is, it’s actually an enormous period of time compared to the actual time in which a twinkle occurs. It will be helpful if we look at the phrase that comes before the words, “In the twinkling of an eye”.
The Bible says “In a moment” - (ἐν ἀτόμῳ en atomō;). This means, in an “atom” of time. An atom of time is a period of time which cannot be cut or divided to make any smaller! In other words, instantly. So, one ‘moment’, one atom of time, Christians believers will be here on earth going about their daily routines, the next moment, they will be gone!
Believers will not only be instantly raptured, they will be instantly changed. At the ‘moment’ of the Rapture, believers will be given immortal bodies (we all have immortal souls). But it doesn’t stop there. These new spiritual bodies will never experience sickness, grief, pain, suffering, evil or death – forever (Revelation 21:4). Those who are cast into hell at the final great white throne judgement will also have immortal bodies but rather than being forever freed from pain and suffering, they will be tormented body, mind and soul – forever (Luke 16:24, Revelation 20:10-15)
So the devil has a problem. How is he going to explain the rapture?
How will he explain millions of people all over the earth suddenly disappearing, “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye”? Well, there is a clear explanation in the Bible of a supernatural God who created the world and who will return for those who put their faith in him. God has already prepared the answer in his Word, the Bible, and people will be able to read this and believe.
Since Satan does not want people believing this end of the world Bible prophecy about the rapture of God’s people, he is going to have to come up with a different explanation. He most certainly does not want people believing that millions of people disappeared because Jesus had returned for all who had repented and put their faith in him and his death as payment for their sin. This would lead to more people putting their faith in Jesus to save them.
The devil’s mission is to stop the spread of the Bible’s message about salvation through repentance and faith Jesus Christ because he knows that when this message of the Bible has been spread throughout all the earth, then the end will come – his end! (Matthew 24:14 and 25:41).
So what will his lie be? What will be this great end time deception? To find out what I believe, you will need to read the next blog entry when it arrives a week from today (today is Sunday 29 April, 2012). I was going to put the answer in this post but thought the post would be too long. So I'll see you in a weeks time.

This 2012 blog entry is written in the style of "Are You Serious!"
As everyone knows by now, December 21 2012 is going to be the end of the world when the earth is either struck by or fatally wounded by a near hit from planet X, otherwise known as Nibiru – even though you can’t see it (that's because it doesn’t exist), which you should be able to by now. If it was real, it would need to have travelled well into our solar system by now and be visible to amateur astronomers all over the world if it was going to collide with the earth on December 21 2012…
But all of this is beside the point because the enlightened ones have told us that a rogue planet will bring about the end of the world on December 21, 2012 so they must be right. And what if they’re wrong? Well, that’s easy; there are some serious back up doomsday predictions for a 2012 end of the world doomsday.
If Nibiru doesn’t get us, there plenty of other 2012 end of the world doomsday options. Consider the line-up below…
1. Giant Solar flares could wipe us off the grid. Pity that the next solar maximum is now scheduled for around May 2013 and is predicted by NASA scientists to have the lowest number of sunspots since 1928. Otherwise, solar flares might have been a serious contender for a December 21 2012 end of the world prediction.
So that’s one 2012 doomsday prediction burnt up. Let’s look at some more….
2. A giant asteroid called Apophis is heading our way… well, actually, don’t tell anyone but it’s, um….. it's not coming near us again till 2029 and is not rated as a threat. But don’t worry; there is an even more serious asteroid than Apophis called Toutatis which is 4.6 by 2.4 kilometers. An asteroid collision with Tautatis would be big enough to cause worldwide destruction. It’s a real shame though that it’s only going to come as close as 6,900,000km, which is about 18 times further away than the moon, and passes on 12 December 2012.
If it weren’t for these factors, a giant asteroid could have been a winner for a 2012 end of the world doomsday prediction.
3. Joining the 2012 doomsday line-up is a galactic line-up, called “galactic alignment”. There are two types of galactic alignment. One kind of galactic alignment happens every year at the time of the winter solstice (when the sun – from earth’s perspective only – lines up with the centre of the Milky Way galaxy). The other alignment has already passed and won’t happen again for a long long time (when the solar system crosses the galactic plane).
These facts don’t seem to have thrown any cosmic water on this doomsday prediction which New Agers in particular are preaching about. It’s easy to confuse people with science; even easier with bad science.
4. Ah, here’s a good one! Pole Shift!!! Two types have been predicted: magnetic and physical. Now that should get you worried. Well, it could get you worried if you lived long enough to see them happen. There is evidence that we are currently in the middle of a magnetic pole shift right now (where north and south magnetic poles change places) but get this: it will take thousands of years to happen and the worst effect will be that in a couple of hundred years, our compasses will need to be changed. Some think that we’ve had a physical pole shift in the past but they are speculating 5 to 10 degrees per million years.
This 2012 doomsday prediction is definitely up the pole!
5. Aliens Invasion. If you’re not convinced by any of the above 2012 end of the world doomsday theories, you probably won’t be convinced or fooled by the next: a December 21 2012 Alien Invasion. Hmmm, do they come in peace or to destroy us? True, people have had paranormal experiences which they describe as UFO sightings and abductions. But really, honestly, are these people coming back and saying that when they were on board the alien ship, they spotted a calendar on the wall and under the date: December 21, 2012 they read “Invade Earth!”
Sure, there is definitely something happening with all these UFO sightings and reports of abductions (which you should check out on our Aliens and 2012 page) but seriously, this has been going on for decades, even longer, so why no 2012 alien invasion date till now?
Anyone who says they know December 21, 2012 is the day aliens will come because aliens have been channelling with them, is definitely tuned into the wrong channel.
6. Finally, there is the Mayan 2012 prophecy. This one certainly sounds authentic with its reference to a 5,125 year calendar by a people whose knowledge about the cosmos was light years past many other civilisations at the time the calendar was made. The theory is that when the calendar runs out so does the earth. The fact that the Mayan people themselves don’t believe this and that we are talking about a calendar, seems to have been overlooked by some….
Well, maybe they are not so much overlooking it but ignoring it because it would spoil a great commercial opportunity to make a fast dollar through movies, books and survival kits. Have you seen the 2012 movie? By the way, survival kits aren’t a bad idea as they may well save lives in a disaster. But I would question the integrity of someone promoting survival kits using a 2012 end of the world prediction as the key motivator.
So, when the Mayan calendar runs out, it’s time to get a new one!
7. And in conclusion, if all the above 2012 end of the world doomsday predictions seem ridiculous, at least we can be sure that December 21, 2012 really is the end of the world because we have such an appealing doomsday date: 12.21.12 (for those who prefer to put the month first) or 21.12.12 (for those who put the day first). Even 21.12.2012 (with the “0” in there) still has the unmistakable look of a genuine doomsday scenario don’t you think?
OK, so who was I kidding, you don’t believe a word of it either.
All this leads a person to wonder how in the world (the end of the world) do you know that a doomsday prophecy is correct? How do you test them? Here are a few quick suggestions…
1. Wait till the day and see if it happens! OK, so this could have serious consequences if the prophecy is correct. But at least you will know.
2. Check the track record of the person making the prophecy – Harold Camping had three failed end of the world prophecies before his fourth and fifth in 2011.
3. When people start talking dates, you can be sure that it’s not going to happen. We are not that smart so as to know the day and hour.
So does all this mean that earth is safe from destruction? To answer that question, consider what happened to the boy who cried "Wolf!" Though we cannot predict a date (unless there was a giant meter entering our atmosphere right now in which case, “today” or “tomorrow” could be quite accurate) and though there will always be false prophecies/predictions about the end of the world, the fact is that we are a vulnerable planet and constantly under threat of destruction from many sources: human, cosmic and, some would argue, divine.
I will leave you with a story from the Bible about some people who asked (nearly 2,000 years ago) when the end of the world would be…..
The end of the world question has been asked before...
“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. ( Matthew 24:3-8 )

GUEST BLOGGER...
The following blog is by our guest blogger, Rob Holding. Rob has been in national radio for over 20 years and has interviewed a host of people on world events. He has been looking at the big picture for quite a while so we think his opinion is one worth listening to.
Here's the Blog from Rob.
One of the most annoying things with the world ending on December 21st next year is that I’m probably going to miss out on seeing The Hobbit. The release date is the 14th of December and, what with the world ending one week later and absolutely no chance of ever seeing the second part I can imagine hawkers will have ticket prices up in the unattainable range.
It’s not that I actually believe the world is going to end on December 21st 2012 it’s just that there seem to be a lot of people who think it may and I’m well aware of what a panicked humanity can do. Anyone remember what happened?
Back in June 1941 during a Japanese air raid on Chungking in China 4,000 people were trampled or suffocated to death trying to return to air raid shelters.
On the 21st of May 1985, 56 people died and 265 were injured after fire engulfed the Bradford City football stadium. Most of the dead were children or elderly people crushed in the rush to escape the inferno.
Just over a week later, about an hour before the European Cup Final between Liverpool and Juventus, a large group of Liverpool fans breached a fence separating them from rival Juventus fans. The Juventus fans ran back on the terraces and away from the threat into a concrete retaining wall. Fans already seated near the wall were crushed; eventually the wall collapsed. 39 people died and over 600 were injured.
I actually got up to watch that game (New Zealand time) and stood there unable to move as I watched the carnage before me on TV.
Early 2011 four people were arrested in East China's Jiangsu province for allegedly spreading rumours about an impending explosion that triggered panic and led to the deaths of four and the injury of three others. Residents thought poisonous gas was leaking from a chemical plant in the Chenjiagang Chemical Industry Park. The plant's neighbors believed the leaking gas was about to explode. More than 10,000 people from four townships in the county started to flee the area at 2 am, leaving the streets in chaos.
Oh yes, I am going to be very careful on December 21st 2012.
My mate Mike’s been going through a few problems in the last couple of month, everything from losing his job and having to go into arbitration with his employer to moving home and worst of all, not being able to afford to get his bike on the road.
In one of his texts to me he said “I’m packing my bags and getting ready for December 2012”. Now Mike’s a Christian, and he believes that the world is going to end this year about as much as I believe that The United States of America is going to win the next Rugby World Cup (in other words, it’s not going to happen), but for some reason, everyone is talking about it.
If the world was going to end in December 2012 then I think Mike’s got the right idea. As a Christian he knows that the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. So no matter what happens to him, he’s going ‘home’
I wonder if all the panic about December 21 is because most people don’t have that same assurance of faith about what they say they believe in.
If you believe in reincarnation, what happens to your soul if there’s no planet to be reincarnated on (remember there are no life supporting planets anywhere else - and we’ve looked hard enough). Do you get instant Nirvana? Everybody passes GO, everybody gets $200?
It would take a little rearranging of the belief systems to fit that scenario in.
Atheists shouldn’t be worried except that they won’t get to fulfil all their plans for their lives but, hey, you only had 80 odd years to do it in anyway so the chances were that you weren’t going to achieve, what would you call it, Immortality? (A rather ironic word for an atheist)
No, I think the problem really is that very few people have actually seriously questioned or researched what it is they believe in and this whole 2012 thing has put them on edge because it forces us to look for the cracks in our belief-system armour. (You don’t want to step out of the space craft unless you KNOW that your space suit is airtight).
So what do you believe? Are you 100% sure?
I have a mate from Gisborne, NZ, who has this wonderful little saying. He says “Eternity is the wrong thing to be wrong about”. Do you like that? Eternity is the wrong thing to be wrong about.
We could all be wrong about December 21st 2012. I could be wrong about December 21st 2012. I don’t think I am, but I could be. But in the end, as someone once said; no one gets off the planet alive.
Death pushes our buttons like nothing else does because we all die. If you are reading this it simply means that you haven’t died yet. But you will. And so will. However, as a Christian, I don’t have a fear of death. In fact, like Paul, I look forward to it.
Talking to the church in Philippi, St Paul (not McCartney, that’s Sir Paul) said he was tired of the world and just wanted to go home to Jesus and was only sticking around because it was more beneficial for them that he stayed alive. And he was only in his mid 50s.
That’s faith you can take to the bank.
Where are you going when your number’s up? 12-21-12 or whenever (maybe next week). 150,000 die every day, what’s going to happen to you when it’s your turn? Remember, eternity is the WRONG thing to be wrong about.
Me? Well, let me leave you with the immortal words of Larry Norman, a man that I never got round to interviewing during my radio career but look forward to doing so in the future.
“I hope I'll see you in heaven.”
John 14:6 Jesus said “I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father except by Me”

Fear of the end of the world
The Bible talks about “Men's hearts failing them for fear” as they consider the things which are coming upon the earth, things where the very powers of heaven shall be shaken (Luke 21:26).
The thought of the whole world coming to an end, whether that be in 2011, 2012 or beyond, is a terrifying thought.
I have received letters from people totally freaked out about the 2012 predictions. Those most affected (or at least those willing to write to me saying they are affected) seem to be teens, young adults and mothers of young children, but there are others also.
We all have things in life that we are afraid of. It is not the thing itself that makes us afraid because it is not actually happening at the time. Rather, it is the anticipation or thought that it will happen, that we will experience disaster, pain or grief. This is what it is which stirs up all those anxious feelings. And the closer the expected danger, the greater the fear.
Perhaps you can identify with some of the following….. Fear of:
insects, natural disaster, terrorism, job loss, the end of the world, current end of the world 2012 predictions, death itself, what happens after death, failure, public ridicule, loss of acceptance by a parent, rejection… then there are dentists, dogs, thunder and lightning, darkness, heights, other people (public speaking), flying, small or confined spaces….. The list goes on.
I want to share with you a story about one of my personal fears and then bring it back to 2012 and fears about the end of the world. If you have a fear of heights, you may not want to read this next bit…
I never used to have a fear of heights until one day when I was painting my daughter and son-in-law’s roof. I had been up on the roof for a while then in one careless moment, I stepped on some wet paint.
I was instantly thrown onto my back. Despite my desperate attempts, there was no getting up as I slid from about half way up the roof down towards the spouting, picking up speed as I went. My vain hope that a fall to the concrete below would be halted when my feet hit the spouting was shattered at the same moment the spouting shattered and I flew right through.
At that very moment, I was imagining landing on my back with no chance to soften the landing by putting my hands out in front of me. I could just see myself cracking the back of my head open on the concrete below. Then, almost immediately after my heel hit the spouting, my body suddenly flipped forwards so that I was now staring straight down at the concrete as it rushed up towards me. I remember the rush of adrenaline that hit me at that critical moment.
I think that when I first slipped onto my back I had said something like, “No, this can’t be happening!” I was so annoyed that I had made such a stupid mistake after all the careful time I’d spent safely on the roof. But that feeling of annoyance was quickly overtaken by fear.
In such a short space of time, all kinds of thoughts rushed into my mind (as people say they do) such as: Is this the end of the world for me? Is there anyone still in the house to help me if I survive the fall? My wife has gone out for a message, how is she going to find me? And, if I survive, this is going to take a long time to recover which is going to put my chances of employment back even further. I was unemployed at the time.
At the same time these thoughts were bombarding my mind, I was also fighting to take control over my mind. Internally, I was screaming to myself to “Concentrate! Concentrate!” I knew I had to concentrate because there was only a split second to get my hands into place to give me any kind of hope of stoppint my head from splitting on impact.
It may sound a little crazy – and hopefully you’ll understand as you read on – but at that very moment what got my attention was that I was falling in a push-up or press-up position (like a belly flop position if you’ve ever done a belly flop into the water). I realized that I had to try and keep that position if I was going to keep my face intact. I really wasn’t thinking about anything else except my face, my head.
Now although I was falling in a push-up position at that moment, my head was actually starting to move faster than my feet and was beginning to overtake them in my quick and unplanned descent from the roof. So I wasn’t going to be able to spread the weight of the impact on all fours (like a cat so to speak) because my feet would hit after my hands.
Only a week or so before I had reached a personal goal of doing 3,000 pushups in one day. It was the goal I had set after having reached my previous goal of 500 pushups at once. So what I’m saying here is that my love for physical exercise and goal setting gave me some extra strength in my upper body and I was counting on that to reduce some serious injuries. In the last few milliseconds while my body was still airborne and I could just about taste the concrete, I hoped (and that was a God directed hope) that my love for exercise would break my fall and prevent the breaking of bones. I was wrong. But I do believe that had I not been as fit as I was, things would have been much worse.
Half way down (and I didn’t discover this till about 20-30 minutes later), my right foot had struck and broken a large window pane. This slowed down the descent of my right foot and put me more off balance so that any hopes of a four point landing were dashed at that point. So my right foot, being the last to land and having nothing to soften the impact ended up with a vertical fracture in the heel.
Going back before my heel struck…. It was so quick after my hands hit (perhaps a tenth of a second or less, I wasn’t really counting at the time) that my head also hit the ground. So there wasn’t much time for me to take the weight of my upper body (which had fallen about 5 meters from the moment I slipped) in my hands and arms. However, the push up goal setting seemed to be enough to prevent any serious head injuries other than a small bruise, a small lump and scratch. My left hand did not come off so well suffering a broken bone in one finger and multiple fractures in the joint of my little finger. Others have certainly had far worse injuries than this and some have died.
For weeks after this accident, I would wake up at night with a shudder as I found myself reliving the fall, and the landing. Even during the day, this same fear would creep up on me unexpected. Getting up on a ladder as I was required to do at my work place from time to time, brought a queasy feeling to my stomach and I had to talk myself through what I was doing.
Today, five years later, I can remember that falling sensation without any effort. I can also feel the fear that went with it but it does not control me and is now more of a health respect rather than fear.
So what does this all have to do with December 21 2012 end of the world doomsday predictions and the fear people have about the end of the world? Here’s the answer…
Fear has something to do with the future. Fear is expectation and a focus that something bad will happen, involving pain or grief of some kind. Fear of falling is the anticipation of what will happen at the end of the fall. Fear gripped me as I began to fall. After the fall, it was mostly pain that gripped me.
If I could have known that I was sliding into a swimming pool (as in a water slide), the fear factor would have disappeared altogether before I landed. Instead of fearing what was ahead, I would have been looking forward it.
It is the same for end of the world fears. This website makes it clear that 2012 is not the end of the world but it also states that the world will end on day. At that time, terrible judgements from God will fall upon the earth. However, if you know things are going to end OK after the initial fall or arrival of those judgements, and if you know that you will overcome whatever future disasters may strike the earth because you have a good future in God beyond this…. then even as you consider those judgements, any initial fear will give way to joy.
We began with a quote. The quote was talking about one kind of people; people whose hearts would be filled with fear and anxiety because their gaze or focus at some time in the future would upon the terrible disasters coming upon the earth when the end of the world is imminent (close at hand). These people have no hope of a good future, or any future for that matter, for themselves or for the world.
However, the second half of this quote speaks of another group of people. This group, while they know that terrible things will come upon the earth, are not focused on those things, they are focused on what happens next. These people are not bent over with fearful anticipation of God’s final judgements but rather, are looking upward with joyful expectation of what will happen next. Fear is replaced with joy as they look forward to what God has promised to those who trust in him: a new heaven and a new earth where there is not more suffering, death or evil… only perfect love in a perfect world.
Here’s the full quote. Please note the last sentence. In the context, these comforting words are spoken by Jesus to those who follow him.
“Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:26)
The Bible tells us that perfect love casts out all fear (James 4:18). God is the only one who has perfect love so if you know God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, you do not need to fear any end of the world events or judgements. The reason is that while Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble”… he also said, “take heart, I have overcome the world.”

Thereis a verse in the Bible that says, "The heart is deceiptful above allthings and desparetly corrupt, who can understand it" (Jeremiah 17:9). The implied but unspoken answer is, "No one". You could add, "Not even myself".
Can you understand the reasons for everything you do and say and think? I know I can't. But I do know that I sometimes consciously make excuses for the things I do, say and even think. I have this conflict: on the one hand, I have just excused myself for something wrong (trying to convince myself that it wasn't that bad, really).
On the other hand, my own conscience condemns me. Anyone know I'm talking about here? Of course you do! Well, if there are times when we know we are deceiving ourselves, what about those times when we do not know we are deceiving ourselves. After all, isn't that the nature of deception. When it's happening, you don't know because, well, you're being deceived.
Every deception has to do with the corruption of truth, even in just a small way. So every deception is actually a lie! It has to be if it's not true. How many times a day do you think you lie to yourself (we haven't even begun to consider lying to others). 5,10, 20, 50.
OK, what about lies to others? Be honest (if you can). We lie when we try to make ourselves look better than we are; or when we exaggerate to make a story more exciting; or say we would never do a certain thing when we know we would or have; or we agree with the popular person just to win their favour when we don't actually agree at all; or we lie to cover up something. The list goes on.....
All the time you are reading this, there is a battle going on. Do I admit this is true or do I tell another lie and try to deceive myself that it is not. Self-deception runs deep.
If you're honest (that's telling the truth) how many times do you think you lie, fib, exaggerate, decieve, withhold the truth, bend the truth, tell a white lie, make out something is true but is not, in just one day? We're just talking about 1 day here. Let's not get too carried away, yet.
I'm going to be really generous here, despite the damning evidence, and suggest that perhaps you may only tell 5 lies a day. That's either in your thoughts, words or both. Just 5!
Now consider this. 5 times 365 days in a year = 1,825 lies!
That should concern you.
Take those 1,825 lies now and multiply them by 60 years and that's 109,500 lies!!!!!
It's true, God will not sent you to hell just because you just told one lie.
Would you like me to list all the other unholy things we think, say and do and multiply that by 109,500?
Addto this the fact that we are sinful and God is Holy and what we call good is often an unclean thing to God. As sinners it is hard for us tofully comprehend how filthy our lives are in the eyes of God who alone is Holy (Perfect, Pure). It would not be unreasonable to suggest thatin an average life time we actually commit well over 1 billion sins. Well over that.
If you were to name all 1 billion of your sins by naming one every second, how long do you think it would take you to count them all up.
The answer is 31 years, 251 days, 7 hours, 46 minutes, and 39 seconds.
Do you now see why you need God's forgiveness and why the only way youwill get to heaven is to throw yourself at the mercy of God.
Does that help you see how merciful and generous God actually is that he has provided a way for you to escape the just penalty of eternal hell forall your sin?
The Bible says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, theirpart `shall be' in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; whichis the second death."
Your lies are not the only things that will send you to hell.
Please CLICK HERE and do the Good Person Test and see the amazing thing God has done so that you do not need to go to hell. What he has done requires a response from you in order for you to know his mercy here on earth and forever in heaven.

This site went live around November 2008. There was a time when I was excited becasue it had 50 visits in a day. Then one day visits shot up to over 90! I ran and got my wife to show her this remarkable news. Who would have thought (not me at the time) that just on a year later on November 13, 2009, that we would have exceeded 100,000 visits in just 30 days!!!!
This amazing result was from the 2012 movie project we launched inviting all members to pass the website onto as many people as they knew and to leave comments and links about it as they surfed the net on other websites. You guys are amazing. Thank You.
Now that the movie has arrived, some of the interest has dropped off but we are still getting heaps of visits and what is more important, people are staying longer and looking at more pages. There are new pages planned and we will notify members when they arrive.
One of the things we would like to see happen a bit more is for people to use the 2012 Forum. This is an opportunity to have your say, even if you don't agree with something that you read on the site. As long as you're respectful your forum post will be welcome.
