End Of The World 2012?

I like the idea of a forum on this topic.  2012 won't go away.  In fact it's getting closer every day.  I only discovered this topic about 1 year ago and was surprised to see what it was all about.  My opinion for what its worth is that I don't think 2012 will be the end.  I do think however that if is was to happen it would be more by our own selfishness and hate.  In the end we will have to take responsibility for our own self-destruction; if and when it happens.

Im a young adventist and im wondering out of concern,should i be worried about 2012,hence the Bible says no one knows the hour or the time.....please help and clear this out for me

Well in my opinion i think if anything happens in 2012 it will be from us waging war or someone else or it will be nature,like earthquakes at great magnitudes or solar flares  somthing around there, i dont think it will be a comet or astroid or even the hand of god!

But who really knows what will happen it could be another Y2K!Thats why the only answers we have is science and thats not even enough but at least we have something to work with,because one day science will takes us where these problems that we face today will be primitive toi our speicies!

In brief, as it says a the top of page on on the home page, you don't need to worry about 2012.  Other pages have more detail.  The Nibiru page for example gives reasons why we are not going to be hit by this planet and why no such planet will come near us in 2012.  For example, if we can  see pluto, which we can, we should be able to see Nibiru which is supposed to be 5 times bigger.    The Mayan long count Calendar is just a calendar.  Even the Mayan's don't believe the stuff they are saying about it.   Concerning solar flares, check out the page on this which has just had a serious update.  As for self destruction, we will always be at the mercy of those who are both power hungry and insane.  When it comes to the Bible, we are told that we will not know the time that the end of the world will come (and it will end) but we are told to watch and be ready.  The thing we need to be ready for is not actually the end of the world, but what happens next.  CLICK HERE to see if you will be ready.   

Very good points,but the mayans also believed in the earth tilts it's axis every five and haif thousands years and cause great earthquakes maybe not earth shattering but good size ones and the next one will occur in 2012,tiit axis that is and thats not just from the mayans but today's science will agree with that but they say it not likely to it will destroy the world but who knows,but the world will end one day thats for sure,maybe tomarrow or in a billion years from now,but i agree we will not be hit by a planet or an astroid at least not with out some type of warning, it's possible the world has been hit before by that but with primitive life at the time,so thank you hubble for that invention,lol keep watching out for us!

Um, the earth is always tilted on its axis.  That's how we get our seasons.  It's not a problem, really!

Hi everyone, I'm not worried about 2012.  Not any more than I am about 2010 or tomorrow for that matter.  If you want a good book to read about 2012, try the Bibe.  Start at Revelation chapter 19 and read to the end of  chapter 22.  There are only about 6 pages in total, depending on the size of the print.  Find out how it all ends by reading the last chapters in the Bible first. 

I agree that whether a person is good or not is in the eye of the beholder as demonstrated in the following passage of Scirpture...

"Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do."  (Hebrews 4:13) .

This is very siginficant in light of the fact that "It is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement" (Hebrews 9:27)

2012. A decision that will decide our fate. Look through out all of our history all the wrong choices made, we call our selves the most advanced form of life on our planet. But yet we still hate kill destroy our very world. Everything we do is a choice and its almost asif we a programed to make the worst decision possible, However there a majority of the human race who in my eyes are leagues above the rest, that show compassion, love and affection towards there neighbours. These people only have good thoughts and a peacful mind, this for me is our next step in evolution to realise what a chance we have to create for further generations of human to all realise we are all the same. We all human no matter what colour skin, what language we speak or where we live!

Planet X is real and we can see it its been recorded many of times before it cant be seen without a infa-red telescope because it is possible to be a forming star or a dying star, which both have a huge clud of mist around them.

 I accept this maybe be a huge coincidence but all these acient past civilizations. But in this day and age most of us have forgotten what it is to be human, we do not appreciate what we have. Im not saying nibiru is going to collide with planet earth but if it is real and does come through our soler system it could have devistating effects on our planet. Such as earthquakes, volcano erruptions and moast possible tidle waves.

And we have seen it ourselves in 1983 and 2006 there are actual recordings of a planet X that is getting closer to our soler system.

But let wait and see if it happens it will change the way we think and live for all those acient civilizations to redict a planet we didnt actaully see until quite recentley will humble and shock us.

All religions  are not the same. In christianity God died for sinners. Other so called "religions want you to work your way to betterment and the god's of those religions did not die for anyone they want you to do th dying. Read, trust and believe the Bible. follow what is being shown on here about how 2012 and evolution and other stuff out there that is untrue. accept Jesus christ dying fro your sins on the cross and you can know the trtuh. He died was buried and rose again for each person individually.

Perhaps one of the greatest flaws to the first heaven condition is contained in the idea that manikind has some choice in the matter of whether God approves or not of his behavior. Any serious thought reveals that such a notion that began with the Old Testament would make out God Almighty as being an incompetent Creator who didn't really know all the particualrs of what THEY (Ref: Gen. 1:26) had Created. The whole idea of Adam falling into sin invariably makes out God to be cluelessly angry and distraught of what THEY had just Created.-??? As though God actually watches man to see what he'll do, because God has no idea of the end before the beginning.-???

Pre destiny, as spelled out in the Biblical narrative means there really is no free will choice on the Divine stage of human evolution by design. Free will is a gift of perception out of love that makes life seem as our own to experience. Makes life feel worthwhile. God is not angry at man's sins, exactly because the Creator created the idea of sins and that we would engage in them, even 'Satan'. If there really is a God Almighty, and THEY really know the end before the beginning, then it's a no-brainer to figure out there can be no true free will choice about anything regarding the Judgment. And so the first heaven of such nonsense will certainly pass away accordingly. There will only be reality, the Whole truth in scientific terms. And no structured religion whatsoever. Just as there's no altar in the symbolic New Jerusalem that descends in Revelations. No Hell exists then either, exactly because no such thing exists now.
