When considering the 2012 predictions for the end of the world, we spend so much time focusing on theories such as giant meteors and earthquakes that we seem to forget that we were already told about events which must take place beforehand, such as the 7-year peace treaty with Israel. Obviously, this has not yet taken place. In Daniel, we are also warned us of a beast with ten horns that suffers a mortal head wound before rising from the sea. While the details of this prophecy vary depending on the religion, Daniel is clearly referring to the one-eyed "spiritual leader" of the Taliban, Mullah Omar. Allow me to explain...

Over the past several months, Omar has broken his long-standing silence, releasing public messages which seem to encourage discussions of peace with the United States. In one such message, he even instructs Taliban fighters NOT to murder innocent civilians – as if it was standard operating procedure beforehand. With each passing day it seems that the U.S. government is opening up more and more to the idea of negotiating with this beast, and just the other day it was even reported that Vice President Biden doesn't consider the Taliban to be the enemy, “per se”. As far as Omar is concerned, however, negotiations are just the beginning of his devious ruse.

Mullah Omar reportedly wishes to establish the Taliban as an international political party. There are those who strictly oppose this, such as Afghanistan's president, Hamid Karzai. Omar, however, considered by many to be the world's most prominent radical Islamist, will use his influence and newly found credibility on the world stage to initiate a regional truce between Israel and the various Muslim extremist factions which threaten her. Of course, in an election year, the prospect of reigning in an era of peace for Israel will be too much for President Obama to pass up, so perhaps he will even give President Karzai the M1 Abrams tanks and F-16 fighter jets he wants in order to help protect his nation's people. Ultimately though, it will be Omar's willingness to relinquish authority of the Taliban which will convince Karzai and others to agree to such a treaty.

By establishing the Taliban as a political party, Omar plans to entrench his deputies in positions of influence all across the Middle-East. The purpose of this is not to bring about democratic reform, but rather to prepare the region for his return to power – sometime following his disappearance into oblivion. Perhaps Omar will even fake his own death, but the point is that he needs to be forgotten before before he can return – at which time his deputies will use their influence to spread rumors among the public of Usama bin-Laden's divine resurrection.

This is the end times figure so many of us refer to as the antichrist. This is also why the hadiths contradict each other as to which eye Dajjal (the Islamic version of the anti-messiah character) will be missing – because bin-Laden was shot just above the left eye whereas Omar lost his right eye fighting the Soviets in the 1980's. The Jewish prophecy is not nearly as extensive as the descriptions provided in Islam and Christianity, however, Judaism does concur that Armilus is partially deformed. Much of the Jewish faith believes he will be Roman Catholic, but then again, does each faith not believe their history's primary antagonist is the epitome of evil?

Anyways, this is how Omar will rise to power – by amassing a following in ten Islamic nations full of people who believe that Allah has returned to wage jihad against Israel and the infidels. The real danger here is that a nation's military hardware (such as Pakistan's nuclear arsenal) is only as secure as the loyalty of the soldiers guarding it. So with the U.S. finally out of the Middle-East, Omar will have 1260 days to carry out his false miracle, recruit his army and make way for Jerusalem with the intent of setting himself up as ruler from the Temple Mount – according to the prophecy.

Mullah Omar will certainly deny Christ, even though Islam believes in the immaculate conception of Jesus, as well as His importance as a most noble Prophet. Omar will declare himself to be God, and from what I understand, he's already been known in the past to claim divinity to his followers. He will lead the forces of evil in the most horrific of wars the Earth has known, and there is not a single thing any of us can do to prevent this, because this is the will of the Lord as explained to us repeatedly since long before any of us were born. To assume otherwise would be to assume that God is incapable of preventing events He Himself foretold us of – thus rendering Him fallible. Not all wars, however, are fought on a battlefield.

Some wars are fought in the hearts and minds of people. Some wars are won before the first battle can ever occur. We do this by convincing our aggressors that we are NOT their enemy, and the only way to do that is to start living by Jesus' message of loving thy neighbor and forgiving our enemies, instead of just preaching it. This is what the tribulations are all about. Has humanity matured as societies which support each other, or are we still the same old instinctively self-destructive beings? It's up to us to determine our future, for better or worse. But if worse comes to worst, at least know that the Lord's judgment is not as black and white as the “Good” person quiz on this website makes it out to be. Merry Christmas. Peace be upon you, and may God have mercy on us all.

George Wittman has no idea how accurately he titled this article.  Fret not, though, for "fear is for those without faith.  Faith is for those who fear being lost."  The world will not end in 2012 because we still have over seven years left to go.  In the meantime, if anyone has questions, feel free to ask.  I see most threads on this forum don't have any replies which strikes me as odd when I see how many views there are and how many people visit this site.  Anyways, I don't have all the answers, nor do I have much time, but I do have a little of both.  I would be happy to share with those in need of guidance in these trying times.  All you need is ask.  Peace be upon you all.

Just thought I'd post another related article. This one discusses the steps Omar is going to in order to avoid fracturing the Taliban's structure during peace negotiations. I thought it was interesting to read this part..."He speaks of rumors that Mullah Omar may have had plastic surgery to disguise himself, for safety’s sake. It could be so, although such drastic measures hardly seem necessary. Even among the Taliban, few Afghans know what the Taliban leader really looks like." I'm sure the surgery has very little to do with his own safety and everything to do with trying to make himself look more like Usama bin-Laden. Only time will prove me correct, though.

In case anyone is wondering, the only reason I'm posting all of this here is so that when "the beast from the sea" finally emerges, I can point back to this thread and say, "See, I've been telling you this all along!" I'm sure some of the finer details I've provided are a little inaccurate, but the main point to this is still right on. The puzzling thing, though, is that no one will acknowledge what I'm telling all of you as the truth. I've basically shown you how real-world events are playing out to match exactly what we were told in the Bible, and no one has anything to say about it; not here, not anywhere I've posted. It's amazing to me that someone like Harold Camping got so many followers. David Koresh even got people to claim that he was Jesus while he slept with their underage children, and yet I cannot get one single person to admit to believing in what I tell you. The fact is that this should be so provocative that the administrator of this website would post this on the homepage, and yet I still get no love from anyone. I guess the truth is just too frightening for any of us to recognize and acknowledge it until its too late – until it slaps us in the face.

Believe it or not, there was a time when we could have prevented this. I wrote a book explaining some of this. I also explained the science behind the fabrication of our existence and how fate works, how God leads us through this story He created for us, and so much more. But I failed to overcome the fear that prevents humanity from recognizing Truth. So instead, I go through life carrying all of this inside, alone, with no one to believe in and comfort me in all of this. Still, I remain strong, waiting for my ministry to begin, watching the weaknesses of humanity erode away at a future we will never see. And although I wish the LORD would ease my pain by taking me away from all this, I know I still have much work to do. So I pray instead, LORD, to continue blessing me with the strength to overcome my pain. Amen.
