End Of The World 2012?

The reason why most think YES is for two main reasons.  (1) the question is in fact, two questions.  They haven't asked "do you think the world will end in 2012?"  They have asked (a) do you think the world will end in 2012 and (b) do you think the world will change in 2012.  They have written it like this: "end/change".  The world ending and the world changing in 2012 are two completely different things.  Many people believe it will change but not end (especially those of Mayan descent) and others think it will end but not change (mainly non-Mayans).  So it is two questions loaded as one to get manipulate the votes.  Very sneaky. 

It also mixes "theories" and "evidences" and asks if there is enough of them to suggest the world will end/change.  Come on people.  Just because there are "enough" or lots of theories about something does not mean it will happen.  The real issue here is "evidence".  But they have again made the wording of the question loaded to included two groups of people: those who think there are enough theories and those who think there are enough evidences. My point is that just becasue there are heaps of theories that the world will end in 2012, does not mean that there is also enough evidence the world will end in 2012.  Sheer quantity of theories on its own is no evidence at all.  The actual evidence must stand on its own. 

The other factor here is that people who say yes to this must necessarily be influenced by some of those theories.  But when you look at those theories and see that they are made up of myth (there is no planet x), lies (the Mayans believe in change but not the end) and really bad science (the 2012 movie is full of it) then all this tells us is that the people who voted YES were influences by myths, lies and really bad science. 

So, while people may have said YES to this survey question, their 'YES" has been manipulated by posing two questions as one AND by theories made up of myths, lies and really bad science.
