End Of The World 2012?

Hello to you all.  We come to your forum with the hopes that we can be of help to someone as we are also in need of help in these truly awful times.  We have been blessed to have purchased 40 acres in NM, in the most stunningly beautiful, and (through our research) safest place we can find to ride out the coming storm.  We are looking for people to stay on this land with us, long term rental ($2500 yearly or negotiable for longer term).  The land is rolling hills, 25 miles from paved road, but accessible with 4 Wheel Drive.  There is abundant game - elk, deer, antelope, rabbits and birds.  There is enough standing firewood (good, standing-dead red cedar) for quite some time.  It is not a subdivision and it is on ranch land, so there are no building restrictions.  The views are breathtaking.

We have been living off the grid for several years and are well prepared to "cocoon-in".  Of course, there is always something else one would like to have.  One of those is a small community of like-minded people who will help each other make it through.  We would love to be able to say, "Come one and all and we will take care of you, you need offer nothing, all will be provided."  But real life, so far, is not like that.  We are also part of the human race and have needs as well.  If you think it is vulgar to ask for something in return, please don't respond. That's a very kind offer.  I've noticed that there are a few people doing this because of the belief that 2012 will be the end.  However, as this site and many others explain so well, we're still going to be here in 2013.  The 2012 scare is based as it says in one place on "myths, lies and bad science"   The FAQ page is really helpful.
