End Of The World 2012?

Belief in a pleasant afterlife is no different from expecting an earthly reward for right thinking and constructive behavior, which requires reasonable self-assessment without self-absorption. The reward for doing good is that good has been done. Hell and the end of the world are the boogeyman.

Nobody knows or has ever known when the earth will end or what happens when we die. The pope doesn't know. Any one who says he knows, like Harold Camping, who predicts the world will end on May 21, 2011, is either mistaken or lying.

Do the best you can and don't be afraid.

Thanks for your post.  This should give folks something to think about.  For me, one thing I believe in a God who is holy and therefore will not, cannot, receive people into the afterlife based on their goodness.  Where would you draw the line?  God in fact has drawn the line and as you can see on the Good Person Test, no one has reached his standard.  This means that there will be a day of justice where we all have our day in court with God.  Thankfully, God is not only just, he is also merciful.  For the full picture on just how God sees you, check out the Good Person Test.  Pehaps you have.     God Bless, Matureo
