End Of The World 2012?

OKay i must post regarding this.

 I do not believe that the world will end on the 13th December 2012 however the prediction is very very close. Only 1 third (1/3) of the earths population will be destroyed (not only humans) this is a must, if nature is to preserve the planet it must be done, but its not all natures doing , it is our own. Try an experiment here, get two bottles of water keep one full and unopened, take the 2nd and empty just over half then seal it again. now try throwing the full bottle with a twist, so grab the neck of the bottle and throw it until it spins, now try with the near empty bottle. WHat was the results? full bottle spins fine, other does not spin. Now think that both these bottles represent the earth, the full bottle was earth 100 years ago and the 2nd is the earth present day. What am i on about, well the first bottle is the earth that contains its full Liquid capacity (oil), the 2nd is what we have drained from it. Oil is the only substance that is liquid which when burnt does not evaporate into the atmosphere and return as rain (liquid) So what happens when all the oil is removed from the earth? WHATS BALANCING US to spin ? also if the MOON affects the TIdes to keep us stable, does it affect the oil underground too?  what are the affects of the sun and the moons gravitational pull against the earth when you take the vast amounts of Liquid from the earth ? then, if you were to experiment and use 2 balloons, one inside the other, inflate them seal off the inside on so containing air only, then fill the other with water and then seal it too. Now take a syringe and suck out 3/4 of the water, What happens to the top balloon? think of this as the earth once again.. we are removing OCEAN sizes of OIL from below the earth , what are we filling those MASSIVE Spaces with ?  Yup you got it , NOTHING , so when you take out all that oil with all that emptyness underneath , what happens above ground? The above ground becomes unstable, it is over weight with population, excavation and building, it begins to collapse like the ballon, then with all that pressure building on the earth below us , the Tatonic Plates begin to struggle, a lot more than normaly would be, so earthquakes begin only this time with the earth collapsing there is no way to prevent such pressure to stop the quakes, tidal waves then begin , Indianesia being in the main line of fire from all these facts.
  And the predictions are set for december 2012 but it has already begun, even the land of the Inca's, Mayans and the aztecs, something unbelievable is happening and the governments and Religious leaders will no longer be able to contain the information because life is beginning to change.   " the Cyrstal skulls are activating" but what is the meaning of it, why have the began showing signs of activity ? we will just need to wait and see.hmmmmm     Good luck to you all.

The theory of oil and its effects on earth is an interesting one and one that I confess I have not heard  before.  Are you speaking though of abiogenic or biogenic oil. 

Re: the crystal skulls, this sound too much like Harrison Ford and "Raiders of the lost ark".

The thing I think people should be concerned about is not how or when the earth will end but what happens after your own life comes to an end.  Check out the page on judgement day for an introduction to this and then do the test that follows.  Cheers.

You seem to have stumbled across some lies in your search for the truth.  Camping said the world world would end on 6 September 1994 and he published those beliefs.  We're still here. 

He can be very pleased that he doesn't live in the Old Testment times of the Bible because God commanded his people to stone false prophets!  That's what God thinks of those someone who says, "thus says the Lord" when it is not of God. 

The way to test a false prophet the Bible says is to see if their "prophecy" is 100% true.  Camping failed this test.  Now he wants us to believe the world will end 20 Oct, 2011. 

Sorry Bible Truth, but you are being led up the garden path.  I would encourage you to read the Bible and not listen to  Harold Camping. By the way, in his publication, "The end of the church age... and after" pg. 56 he says that the angel "Michael is the Lord Jesus Christ."  This is blasphemy. 

Please get away from that man fast and seek real truth from the Bible.  This man cannot be trusted.  As I said at the start, he is a known heretic.  Very sad.

  Can God teach us anything new from the Bible? Has anyone ever came to truth on any verse in the Bible the first time? Let's see what God has to say about this.

  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for CORRECTION, for instruction in righteousness:  I don't trust in everything that MR Camping teaches, but I check the information out in the Bible to see if these things are so. Have you checked out the Biblical timeline of history? For instance if you can show from the Bible that the flood of Noah's day was not in the year 4990 BC, please do. If after carefully examining all the proofs God has given in the Bible that MAY 21,2011 is truly the day of judgment. If  you still don't understand ,you can still cry out to God for mercy, it is still the day of salvation. Hello Bob, I wrote you back but my post never showed up. I want you to understand that I am not a follower of Harold Camping who believes everything he says without diligently searching the scriptures. Everything I have posted I have personally checked out and found to be faithful to the Bible. Can eternal God teach us anything new from the Bible?

  I can identify with your concerns about Bible teaching that at first blush seems to be contrary to sound doctrine. I also struggled with many teachings I have heard in the past. By God's mercy I have learned some important truths from the Bible because of this. Now when I hear something new I prayerfully and patiently search the scripture to see if these things are true. I would like to inform you that Mr. Camping is not the only one teaching that MAY 21, 2011 is the day of judgment. There are thousands of diligent Bible students that check out what is being taught on Family Radio and have come to the same conclusions. They are not blind followers of Mr Camping by any means. Have you checked out http://www.wecanknow.com ? The important thing is that the warning is being sent into the world. It is up to God as He gives spiritual ears to those who he planned to save from before the foundation of the world to save the great multitude which no man can number. Did Jesus Christ pay for our sins in AD 33 when he was crucified? If so how can we reconcile these verses. Only God can open our eyes to truth.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

When we employ the Biblical rule of comparing scripture with scripture Jesus made the full payment for sin before he created the world. When we understand that Jesus elected and chose a people for himself and made full payment for their sins before the foundation of the world it becomes clear that the cross was a demonstration of what Christ suffered to pay for the sins of His people.

 May God give you wisdom as you study His Word the Bible.

This is an interesting conversation.  I checked out that site and my first impressions were that this man is deceiving people, whether he knows it or not.  He started out by quoting Acts 1:7, "And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power."  I believe he should have stopped there.  As one who claims to be a Bible teacher, he made not attempt to exegete this verse. 

When comparing Scripture with Scripture as you say (which is a sound approach) we find that Jesus also said, in Mark 13:32-33

Mar 13:32  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Mar 13:33  Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Looking at the words of Jesus he is absolutely emphatic that know one except the Father knows the day or hour (cf. "times and seasons").

1.  knoweth NO man

2.  NO

3.  NOT the angles

4.  NEITHER the Son

5.  EXCEPT the Father

6.  ye know NOT when the time is

JESUS ENFORCES THIS STATEMENT SIX TIMES IN TWO SHORT VERSES

Add to this Jesus words in Acts 1:7 [note: these are JESUS words]

7.  "It is NOT for you to know the times or the seasons" !!!

What could be clearer than that!  (I think Bob may have made similar comments somewhere else).  Harold Camping having referred to Acts 1:7, then goes off on a long and complicated trail of explaning calendars and numbers. 

He seems to want the reader to believe that an obscure verse in Ecclesiastes 8.5 that says a wise man can discern both "time and judgement" in some way annuls the seven negatives of Jesus above!  This verse in Ecclesiastes does not teach, contrary to Jesus words, that a man (or woman) can work out the year, month and day Jesus return for the church or the day of the final judgement. 

However, anyone who does not know the Word or understand the importance of sound  hermeneutics, is vulnerable to deception because Camping picks verses that have common words in them to the words he wants his readers to focus on.  Yet he does not exegete those words in their original context. 

The Bible says that Satan masquarades as an angel of light and that so do his servants. 

I would really enourage you to think again about believeing the twisted words of this man.

Hi Bible Truth.  Yeh, I have been to that site.  I thought I would check out the source of these teachings and not just rely on second hand info.   I would have to agree with Matureo about the way Camping treats Scripture.  He is messing with people's heads.  One of his downfalls is that he has adopted an allegorical approach to his Scripture teaching.  This makes everything subjective (ie. anyone can make any passage say anything - basically).
